General Litigation

The hallmark of an experienced trial attorney is the ability to litigate almost anything. That's because, at its root, all litigation is the same. Litigation (which simply means a legal proceeding in a court) requires that an attorney fully understands the law that applies to the case, fully understands the relevant facts, and is able to present the law and facts to a judge or jury in a way that is clear and compelling.

Through the years, we have handled thousands of cases, honing our skills and abilities in the field of General Litigation. Below are examples of General Litigation cases we have handled in the past. This is not an exhaustive list. It is likely that we can handle almost any legal problem you have.

We prosecute and defend cases involving:

  • Insurance Coverage Disputes
  • Personal Injury
  • Real Estate Disputes

Attorney's Fees and Costs

Fee arrangements are designed and tailored to fit the needs of each client. There are basically three fee arrangements. Each fee arrangement may not be suitable for every case:

  • Hourly Fee: Our clients are billed for the actual time that attorneys and paralegals spend on their case. Hourly rates are set and agreed upon before any fees are charged;
  • Contingency Fee: Our clients pay us an agreed-upon percentage of the money that we actually collect for them. If no money is recovered, no fee is charged;
  • Hybrid Fee: There are numerous types of hybrid fees. They may involve a combination of an hourly and contingency fee, or a fixed retainer against a contingency fee. Hybrid fees can give our clients the flexibility to tailor their fee arrangement to their particular needs;
  • Costs: Our clients are responsible for court costs, although we may advance costs in certain situations;
  • Free Initial Consultation: In many cases, we offer a free one-hour initial consultation.
